5 Tips & Tricks we used to Scale a Brand to $173k/month

Read time: 3 minutes

Hello Grow Community! 📈

It's official:

One of our clients at Guac Digital Marketing just hit their first $170k+ month with Google Ads.

($173k to be exact)

We began working with this brand on August 23rd of this year.

And in the past 30 days, we've achieved explosive growth.

Conversions have increased by 29%.

Revenue has increased by 43%.

And their ROAS is at 5.22x

So in today's email...

We are going to be showing you the 5 tips and tricks we used to scale this brand to multiple 7-figures per year with Google Ads.

Let's dive in:

Tip #1: Segregate Products on Sale Separately

Due to the holiday season, this brand had started special sales revolving around certain products they sold.

A sale with a time limit and an unique landing page per product.

Instead of just running these products inside testing campaigns, we decided to take things up a notch.

We launched a sale Performance Max campaign that just focused on these products alone.

And because these products had been focused on differently than everything else, conversion rate ended up being much higher.

Take whatever's on sale and run it differently.

Tip #2: Excluded products segregation

One of our key optimization strategies here was to take whatever wasn't working.

And run it within its own campaign.

This allowed winners to do better.

And losers to get a second chance.

Our bad performing products campaign ended up running at a 4.69x ROAS.

Just slightly above breakeven.

Not the best, but these numbers are much better for these products than in the original campaign.

Tip #3: New Customer Acquisition

New customer acquisition

Google ads work best in a funnel-like approach.

Cold traffic + warm / hot traffic.

We wanted to fully separate out cold traffic from the rest here.

And ended up running a Performance Max campaign just for new customers only.

This allowed the algorithm to focus differently on cold traffic compared to hot / warm.

And use this stronger data to drive cold traffic acquisition.

At this point, every brand must be targeting new customers differently.

Tip #4: Asset group testing

Many eCommerce brands focus on top of the level testing.

Products, landing pages, campaign types.

But they often leave out asset group testing.

Especially within Pmax campaigns.

We developed a strategy for this brand that allowed us to test:

> Images + videos in one asset group

> Feed only in another

Just two separate approaches that let us truly understand what this brand responds to the best.

Tip #5: Feed dominance

Brands that use Google ads often focus on one of these things:

> Bids

> Budgets

And totally miss out on the feed.

Not only does this cause the foundation to become weak..

But it also reduces the chances of having multiple of your products / variations rank in the top 10.

Side by side.

This is where true scale is achieved.

For this brand, we solely focused on feed dominance by taking incoming campaign data..

And optimizing titles + descriptions with it.

Lower ad-spend. More scale.

brand to $173k/month with just Google Ads!
